Time for America to Split into Two Nations
America the Divided
The USA is divided in half.
By all accounts, no compromises can be made. The two sides are quite set in their
convictions. Because of this, the only
solution left for the USA is to split into two countries. It’s not the first time this has
happened. There is a precedent for this
in American history in 1776
.
The first real split in America came in 1776 between the
Whigs and the Tories. The Tories moved
to Canada, while the Whigs stayed in the colonies and formed the first American
nation. To this day, the people of
Canada are substantially different than the people of the USA, and they are
happy with the split.
The split can be done peacefully by simply going through
congress and building two constitutions or it can be done by war. The latter would cause a huge number of
deaths and a great deal of destruction, which few people want. However, the country is dangerously perched
on this option if a split isn’t addressed right away. Never has the country been this adamantly
opposite in thought. Compromises are
entirely out of the question now.
Not too surprisingly, a peaceful segregation of the US could
be done quite quickly due to the real motivations of each of the
divisions. A vote for splitting right
now would be not only be attractive by most, but would bring needed relief
economically and socially of a super-divided nation. Though much of the industrial base would be rapidly
changing at first, economic stability would take place in five years or less. The two nations would be allies and protect
each other from war. The citizens of
each country would love their new nation and feel at home.
Nation 1
This nation would be very traditional in nature to the
original 1776 America with some modernized policies on immigration. It would probably still have two parties, but
may be dominated by the Democratic Party. It would be more equality minded, more
socialistic in nature. Immigrants would
be welcome but highly scrutinized at first.
Guns would be entirely illegal.
The military would be mixed males and females with many gays and
lesbians. It would still be powerful in
strength. The Arab nations would be
prone to leave this country alone from terrorism, since more blacks would
choose this country.
Nation 2
This nation would be dominated by the Republican Party and
cut off immigration entirely at first, slowly allowing it after huge restraints
to the filtering system. The military
would be hugely modern and powerful. The
president would be very strong and dictatorial in nature. Freedom of speech would be severely limited
to positive verbiage and less politics.
Guns would be entirely legal and expected in every household. Mexicans
would almost entirely be eliminated from the country. If they aren’t citizens already, forget
it. Whites would be most comfortable in this new
country. The original USA has lost its
appeal to whites. Israel might choose
this nation as their preferred ally, since this country might declare full war
against rebel states and the Arabic nations.
Military service would be mandatory in this country.
New Names
Both countries might change their names, but Nation 1 would
be closest to the original USA, so nothing has to change there. On the other hand, Nation 2 would change
everything about itself, happily due to the new attitudes of the population.
The biggest problem is how the political divisions are
distributed. They aren’t by land
boundaries. Each state has a mixture of
both attitudes that live side by side.
