IS THE PANDEMIC ONLY A SAMPLE OF WHAT IS TO COME?

WHEN I WOKE UP JANUARY 1st AFTER THE BALL DROPPED A MERE SIX HOURS EARLIER IN NYC, I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE NEXT FEW HOURS WERE ABOUT TO BRING.--Ted

ON THE PERSONAL SIDE:  Four days later, I would get a piece of chicken caught in my esophagus to completely block any food or water from entering my body. It was caused by an ulcerated, near-cancer infused esophagus. Upon being released from the hospital a few hours later, I immediately retired from my job, some five years earlier than expected.

WORLDWIDE:  It didn't end there. Everyone in the entire world was faced with the extinction event of Covid-19 or the Corona War as I like to call it. So far, extinction has been averted but the day's not over yet. But the macro-economic forces ensued. Twenty percent unemployment has resulted with starving people everywhere of those still alive. The economy and jobs have been slaughtered wholesale.

IN THE SHADOW OF THE PANDEMIC:  Yesterday, the communist party marched into the Hong Kong broadcast stations and took them over. No more 'free speech' newscasts. Why? America has now removed the 'FREE ECONOMY' status of Hong Kong as a slap in China's face for using HK as a back door for tariff protection. China's charade is now over.

AMERICAN POLITICAL MEDIA PROPAGANDA MISLEADS THE PEOPLE:  America's media plague of bombarding the public with falsehoods were evident in the Hong Kong issue. Our media incorrectly reported the reasons for the rebellion in China as social injustice and not financial maneuvering to lean the propaganda message to the liberal side, a sign America has fallen into the same propaganda prison as the communists.

MEDICAL SYSTEM ETHICALLY DISASTROUS:  Most importantly, the American medical care system has failed miserably in the pandemic. They attempted to save lives in a system that has been designed to take money and cast out those without it. The media has gone all out to focus on the 'human' side of caring, leaving the fallout of the money grabbing for a secretive behind-the-scenes slaughter for a more private disaster. Where is a vaccine? It should be free for all, ethically.  Where the virus failed to kill, the US medical system will destroy lives in a slower,more intense way.

WHAT LIES AHEAD IN THE FUTURE?  Big business and governments are working frantically to salvage the disaster. The citizens of planet Earth wait in the wings of silence as world leadership, both financial and political, deals out the cards.  What will they deal us? What will the cards we are dealt look like?

Are we willing to allow those powers to control our lives in the future or will WE finally decide to stand up and change it, based on what we have experienced in a catastrophe that may be ONLY A SAMPLE OF WHAT IS TO COME?

Are Zombies next? Dystopia? At least more video games based on those themes?

We can only hope, right?
